Truths and Lies
Notes
Centered around madness, misinformation and roles where the storyteller tells you things, giving everyone ample opportunities to tell wild truths and lies. An important interaction to watch out for is the Monk with the misinformation demons, especially the Vortox, as a Monk protected player would be unaffected by any demon poisoning or the Vortox, getting guaranteed true information. Town has fairly strong roles to feed the Cannibal, so that's why the Boomdandy was included, in order to make that willingness to die suspect, although a Preacher was also put in as something to counteract that. The Hermit-Mutant-Lunatic-Hatter is a fun one, since you can chain Lunatics two layers down, and the inclusion of the Mutant and Hatter means they have to be careful on pushing the information that they have as the Lunatic without revealing themselves, lest they accidentally trigger the Hatter, and it also makes Lunatics less likely to immediately fall on the sword, as they tend to like to do. The Hatter also allows a demon swap in the middle of the game, changing the demon type and method of misinformation, while also potentially moving the Boomdandy around, which can be powerful for the Evil team. The Wraith is also an entertaining side addition since it allows you to bluff some usually harder to bluff roles, such as Cannibal or Dreamer, while also creating another potential for a "truth and lie" dynamic where sometimes a good play spots a Wraith, while an evil player could bluff that they say a good player they want to kill open their eyes as Wraith. Potential Future Changes - Removal of the Preacher, as it can be somewhat unfun in removing minion abilities, for something that can also help distinguish Minions, like Town Crier, or something that can help distinguish the Demon type, like Mathematician
