The Fires of Hades
Notes
A script in which the good team are fighting back from within the evil team's lair. Three of the four demons can or will add at least one extra evil player, and with no Poppy Grower or Magician on the script the evil team should be a formidable force, able to co-ordinate effectively. The outsider count and death count are both immensely variable, favouring the evil team, but in exchange the evil team get very little control over which townsfolk get misinformation and when. The good team have a lot of powerful tools at their disposal, but will need to use them differently depending on what evil team they think might be in play. I've also made a minor tweak to the night order, which is included in the JSON and the PDF. The Alchemist acts a lot later on night 1: previously it only went after Lord of Typhon, so may have been able to deduce which demon was in-play by the night length. Only one change to the front page: -Puzzlemaster +Drunk. Two minions on this script interact with outsiders: the Xaan and the Godfather, and in a 10+ player game the Lord of Typhon is obliged to have at least one of them in-play... however, if the Lord of Typhon was flanked by outsiders, you might have been obliged to remove them all, so it was easy to accidentally run a game where the Xaan and Godfather don't interact with anything. Until now I'd always recommended just spamming the bag with outsiders in a larger Lord of Typhon game, however I think I've come round to the idea that this did make bag-building a little overly prescriptive at higher player counts. Adding Drunk to the script means there's always a lever the storyteller can choose to pull if the Lord of Typhon wipes out all the outsiders, which ultimately makes a greater range of games more viable and should make the script more fun on average - your newly minted Xaans and Godfathers can now rest easy knowing that X will be greater than or equal to 1. On the back of the script, I've added three recommended travellers: Deviant, Scapegoat and Bishop. Scapegoat and Bishop both work well on scripts with larger evil teams (especially Legion) as the good team really love having that extra hit point, or that extra bit of info each day.
