There's a Snake In My Boot
Notes
If the Poppy Grower is in play, the Boffin and Demon wake up separately on the first night. Near-total script rewrite due to a lot of wonky and unpredictable character interactions. Some notable changes: Librarian -> Investigator - will allow for interesting plays with Town Crier and allows town to narrow down minion worlds due to all of them being quiet. Monk -> Innkeeper - spreads more droisoning around town and is a fun ability for the Boffin to give. Drunk, Tinker, Hatter, Puzzlemaster -> Hermit, Lunatic, Recluse, Barber - the previous outsiders weren't fully coherent with the script identity. The Hatter was also too powerful for the evil team in many ways. Now, the Hermit can be snake charmed and cause chaos in the town while the real demon stays hidden. I recommend playing with the rule that the real demon does not pick the Lunatic token (if possible) to keep both "demons" guessing. Xaan -> Poisoner - brings the power level of the evil team down a bit and makes working out the outsider count a bit easier. Wraith -> Boffin - the Wraith had a wonky interaction with the Poppy Grower. The Boffin has a similarly odd interaction but with the new Bootlegger rule this is mitigated somewhat and allows for some cool social plays. Fang Gu -> Imp and Lleech -> Vigormortis - both of these changes make the game simpler to solve for the good team while also making the game less swingy for both teams. The Lleech in particular could vary wildly in power based on who they target with a Poppy Grower in play, so was swapped out for the Vigormortis, who often actively benefits from the chaos of the Poppy Grower. Also swapped out the Empath for the Pixie.
