A Simple Region
Notes
"A Simple Region (filled with Legion)" is a simple(ish) Legion script designed to introduce players to Legion and encourage them to play more proactively as the Legion rather than the usual passive playstyle that happens in Legion games. Instead of "softer" information roles like General, High Priestess and Mathematician where the Legion can bend whatever they said to fit the world late game, there are more "hard" info roles like Fortune Teller, Town Crier or Oracle which need a world constructed around it that you have to commit to (unless you want to bluff that it's a Vortox game). That said, almost all the roles on this script, aside from Pixie, Alsaahir, Farmer and Lord of Typhon, are from the base 3 scripts, with a large portion being from Trouble Brewing, so players should be mostly familiar and comfortable with how these roles work, meaning that they can do that advanced world construction without fumbling on the technical details. There are also ample opportunities for double claims from the full standard Madness package of Pixie, Cerenovus and Mutant, as a secondary safety net. Of course, the primary safety net is the aforementioned Vortox, which allows for non-sensical info to be actually real, while not being as much of a "Get Out of Jail Free" card as the Atheist. Other included demons include No Dashii, which gives a second reason for non-sensical info, but localized, and Lord of Typhon, which can mimick the strange voting behaviour of Legion, while also providing an explanation for having both a loud Cerenovus and a quiet other minion in play. The minions also help with this, Scarlet Woman as an explanation for why the game didn't immediately end when an obvious demon candidate is executed, Poisoner for more misinformation justification, and the Baron and Drunk+Mutant to explain outsider count discrepancies. For advanced players too, there are a few tricky edges, like coordinating a Farmer pass, or faking Cerenovus madness. It is recommended to occasionally remove a Legion and put in an extra outsider, just to make the Alsaahir less overpowered should it make it to final 3. For regular games, this script should be fairly balanced, although more playtesting is needed. There's a fair wealth of information roles, but also a fair wealth of disruption. Like mentioned earlier, the LoT helps keep uncertainty around the minions even in a one minion game, and of course, the threat of Legion and Vortox hanging over everyone's heads. Overall, it should be an S&V like experience with a base of Trouble Brewing, which seems hard to mess up, but who knows.
