Alexander and the Terrible, TORrible...
Notes
If illegal choices are made by a character, their ability malfunctions. The Pit Hag and Gambler abilities are amended to read: 'Each night*, you MAY choose a player...' No Good, Very Bad Day Tor Script Attempt #1 Not sure how balanced this bad boy is yet, but I really wanted something that has a LOT of room for ambiguity across all the roles. So: Chef <-> Clockmaker Empath <-> Mathematician High Priestess <-> Balloonist Sailor <-> Snake Charmer <-> Devil's Advocate <-> Pukka <-> Lleech Monk <-> Lycanthrope <-> Vigormortis <-> Vortox Gambler <-> Pit Hag (my favorite) Alsaahir <-> Soldier <-> Recluse <-> Sweetheart <-> Xaan <-> Mastermind And on the first night: Chef <-> Clockmaker <-> Empath <-> Mathematician A Lycanthrope Faux Paw can really mess with Chef information, muddling whether or not the Chef is actually a Clockmaker (I mean, until they die, obviously), but the presence of the Vortox allows for almost any number to be given anyway. Lleech and Lycanthrope is normally a bit rough, but not when the Lycanthrope could just be the Monk, which is why their targets seem to always be living. And as for a Gambler not dying on, say, Night 2? Or any night where they SEEM to have Gambled wrong? Maybe they're just the Pit Hag who has kept missing. I was tempted to include things like a Damsel or a Lunatic, but I think for now I'm focused on no one necessarily knowing what's going on without experimentation. And while Steward and Bounty Hunter can be a fun combination, especially with a Vortox as a possibility, that seems a rather common choice for Tor scripts as of late, so I'm trying to avoid that particular pair of characters. I hope this script doesn't spark within you a desire to move to Australia (or Timbuktu, depending on where you're reading it). Enjoy! 1.0.0 -> 1.0.1 : Added Bootlegger with the rule "If illegal choices are made by a character, their ability malfunctions."
