Spectres & Violets
Notes
Sects & Violets with a Wraith! For if you want the info-overload and alignment-swapping chaos of S&V but fancy a mini switch-up. Three substitutions from the real S&V: The Wraith works really well here! The other three minions are all choosy minions who have a habit of accidentally getting under each other's feet, so giving the S&V suite a "team captain" can be really useful. The Wraith has a lot of crossover with the Evil Twin in terms of game-feel: they're both minions who might be outed as evil by a single good player, and who find it comparatively easy to go "off-bluff" in larger games. Wraith goes great with Fang Gu and Snake Charmer, too, as it can get its new evil team up to speed during the night phase, and it makes the usually-notoriously-difficult Dreamer bluff a little more viable. Wraith has "the Evil Twin problem" but worse in a Clockmaker game, as a spotted Wraith narrows the demon down to 2 seats rather than 4. Shugenja is similarly powerful, but should be less swingy for the evil team (and particularly for Vigormortes). No huge benefit for this one, just a sidegrade! Barber is technically the better fit as it has an on-paper synergy with the Pit-Hag, but I think the Hatter is fun too and it's a fairly harmless mix-up. You can use B3 tokens as substitutes, or it'll only take a second to grab tokens from the Carousel.
