Whips & Chains Excite Me
Notes
An Alchemist-Mezepheles chooses two players on their first night: if either one is good, they are the only players that can turn evil via the Mezepheles. The Mezepheles learns who you picked. If the Engineer makes a Kazali, the Kazali may rechoose the Minion characters and each Minion receives one bluff. If the Engineer or Kazali makes a Godfather, a player might become an Outsider. V1.3: Minor change to script to create more evil paranoia. Preacher added for sailor to remove some droison and keep the evil counterplay. Leaning into the swingy-ness of the script. V1.2: Becca Requested Widow for Spy. You lose some spy synergy but widow does enough. Might be too effective with mez, will need to play test. V1.1: Swapped Farmer for Undertaker as the script doesn't need it and the farmer synergizes well with the spent roles and faster pace. ð¶ Whips & Chains Excite Me ð¶ Who doesn't love getting a swing of the axe, golem punching someone to death or outing as the Lleech. Becca loves playing outed and that's why she specifically asked for Lleech, Psychopath, Golem and Alchemist. I sprinkled in some other strong outed roles to help evil mind game the good team. There's not a lot of ways to find the demon directly, so town will have to clear evils as they find them. I really wanted to design around a powerful evil team with some minor misinfo built into town. There's a Recluse Drunk and Spy to obfuscate the lleech host. The Mezepheles also accounts for additional evils and misinfo from lying. The Evil team is stacked from a utility standpoint and allows for lots of evil shenanigans. Besides Mez, the Spy and Godfather can combined to pull some interesting combinations on town. The Spy may register as an outsider to the Alchemist Godfather or to the Godfather during their execution. The Psychopath is deadly but helps town clear demon candidates. The Goblin provides both the Alchemist and town a win condition that they may otherwise not have. With 4 starting information roles, town can act quick to sus out the evils. The ongoing information is strong, but is it strong enough to overcome the speed of the game? That's up to you!
