Notes
This is an update to my Plague Doctor contest winning script "Xenophobia" (https://botcscripts.com/script/1727/1.0.0)
The biggest change is updating Baron to Xaan. But I also updated with some new characters that were released after the contest.
Xenophobia: The Fear of Outsiders. Xaanophobia The Even Bigger Fear Of Outsiders This script is based around Outsiders, and the fear and paranoia they can bring. This is a follow up to "Xenophobia" which was submitted as part of the Plague Doctor contest. This takes the base formula, and updates it with more recently released characters to make it work even better; including the Xaan.
With the Demon always a Fang-Gu, outsiders are a constant jump threat and must be dealt with swiftly. If a Godfather is in play, though, killing the Outsiders might be a dangerous proposition speeding up the game. And to add to the general sense of paranoia, for Evil we have the Organ Grinder. This can make town second guess who they can trust when their main source of proof, voting, is taken away. A well hidden Cerenovus can make townsfolk forced to claim being an Outsider, or hide critical information from the town. On the good side, the Magician is thrown into the mix making Minions and Demons potentially unable to trust their own teammates. All of that can come in sneaky when the Snake Charmer steals the Fang-Gu role out from under the existing demon and jumps to an Outsider, throwing the entire town into chaos. Given that there are a higher than likely chance for outsider, and a minion that kills, MANY games end with a minion accidently killing their own demon. Evil must coordinate and be on the same page, otherwise they will shoot themselves in the foot! Featuring the Xaan, which combines for crazy fun on a 6 outsider script gives a wider variety of game experiences. At low outsider counts, the crucial townsfolk information will be poisoned early (which makes it hard to solve VI pings!). At high outsider counts (including even as high as 6!) the poisoning becomes less crucial, but late game Alsaahir guesses might be nullified. Most of the power comes in creating more untrustworthy Outsiders that make juicy Fang Gu jump targets. Amnesiac abilities tend to work best with Outsider focused things. One version even started with 6 outsiders in play (thanks to Xaan) and basically flipped any picked outsider into a not in play Townsfolk! Otherwise roles that normally seek evil (Empath, Fortune Teller, VI) flipped to search for Outsiders is a good starting point.
The games I've run with it have been chaotic, fun, and memorable for everyone! Last time, on Stream, the original script Xenophobia ended up with 2 hillarious fun and chaotic day 1 reracks as the Evil team accidently killed their own demon after a jump or barber swap! Include one where the Demon didn't out they were N1 snake charmed, and tricked their own team into doing it!
Hopefully everyone finds this follow up version as fun as the original!
