Symptoms of Paranoia
Full Script
12
Notes
This script was designed to be a rework of the Leeches & Legion script that Ben Burns created. The core concept is the same -- Lleech & Legion create opposing paranoia for good players. I think you'll find that this rework is a lot more flexible as a ST, and does a better job at hiding the demon type.
Most Recent Update (v2.2 to v2.3): I made a controversial decision to remove Balloonist and add Village Idiot. Balloonist was on this script before the role was changed, and I don't think "new Balloonist" works here. It isn't particularly interesting in a Legion game as a storyteller or as a player. Even if the Balloonist figures out that it is a Legion game, they can't really use their info to solve the game.
I think that Village Idiot is often disliked, so I was hesitant to add it here. However, it fits the theme of this script perfectly. This script works best when good players have extremely valuable info that they distrust. That's exactly what Village Idiot is. In a Legion game, you can create a single sober Village Idiot that has extremely powerful info that they likely will not believe. The info comes down to if they believe their double claims. I like how that plays socially. In a Lleech game, a drunk Village Idiot can obviously help simulate a Legion game. Having many Village Idiot claims also helps frame a Legion world in a Leech game. If two sober Village Idiots can trust each other, they can confirm that it is a Lleech game, and likely narrow down host options.
Notes (for the Storyteller):
Use additional Legion kills to simulate Gambler, Moonchild, and Godfather! Legion will almost certainly need these tools to continue building Leech worlds throughout the game.
Make sure good has access to game solving info in a Legion game. It is easy to get into a situation where there is no information to differentiate any players or poison in final 3.
Slayer will likely expose a Legion game. This can be fun, but makes Legion weaker.
Hatter is here to strengthen Lleech. I run it as chaos Hatter.
